Marco Polo and Pamir Ibex Hunts

We organize Marco Polo sheep and Pamir Ibex hunts at 3500m to 4500m on rugged terrain in the Murgab District of Tajikistan, where winter temperatures range from -10 to -40C and winds reach 15km an hour. Our hunting camp is located in the Pshart mountain ranges, 20km from the main town of Murgab.

Usually, on the day of arrival at the hunting camp, we test your rifles and let you acclimate to the climate and elevation. The hunting elevation depends on the season and the amount of snow on the ground. The optimal hunting time for Marco Polo and the Pamir Ibex is November and December during the rut. We use 4x4 vehicles during the hunt and horses to reach hunting sites from the hunting camp.

Some hunters say taking Diamox 1-2 days before arriving at the hunting camp helped them significantly reduce fatigue. Some of our clients say they use high-altitude tents at home to acclimate to altitude. We are also happy to take our time getting you adjusted. We ask our clients to do extensive shooting practice at distances of 400-600 yards in windy conditions to prepare them for the Marco Polo sheep and Pamir Ibex. With such preparation, you are closer to a 100% success rate.
